OmniPort EX Vampire 2 - expandable multiport

The OmniPort EX Vampire 2 is an expanded version of the OmniPort Vampire 2 multiport adapter for users of a Vampire 2 accelerator in conjunction with a USB card. The OmniPort allows various hardware interfaces on the Amiga 1200 desktop case to be neatly routed to the outside via the expansion port. The interfaces in the basic version are 2x USB (USB card), 1 x HDMI (Vampire 2) and 1x network (Vampire 2). The special feature of the EX version is that the motherboard can be equipped with an additional sandwich board. Here, boards for 1x USB, 1x Micro-SD, 1x HDMI for Indivision MK3 or 1x HDMI FFC with ribbon cable clamp connection are available (selectable above). The innovative mounting block supplied makes it very easy to install the sandwich board together with the motherboard in the Amiga 1200. In order to be able to use the respective interfaces with the OmniPort, the corresponding hardware for this must already be installed in the Amiga 1200.

USB interfaces
In order to use the USB interfaces, a USB card must be installed on the clock port of the Amiga 1200. Basically, all cards that comply with the USB standard when connecting the USB interfaces will work. The best-known USB cards such as RapidRoad and Subway (only via USB Subway adapter) are compatible and have already been tested.

HDMI interface
In order to use the HDMI interface, the Vampire 2 turbo card must be installed.

Network interface
In order to use the network interface, the Vampire 2 accelerator must be installed.

HDMI interface (Indivision)
To be able to use the HDMI interface for the Indivision MK3 on the OmniPort, a scandoubler must be present in the Amiga 1200 and you need the sandwich board for the MK3. The scandoubler must be compatible with the Indivision MK3 in the pin assignment. The Indivision MK3 has already been tested successfully.

HDMI interface (FFC)
To be able to use the HDMI interface FFC piggyback board on the OmniPort, a turbo card with HDMI output must be present in the Amiga 1200. The output only has to adhere to the standard HDMI assignment. You also need an HDMI ribbon cable with an HDMI plug.

MicroSD interface
In order to use the MicroSD interface, an SD2IDE or MicroSD zu IDE converter as well as an angle adapter must be present at the internal 2.5 inch IDE port. SD card or micro SD tap and cable are already included in the package.
