ZuluSCSI V1.2 is a SCSI hard drive and CD-ROM emulator that can be used as a drop-in replacement for any legacy SCSI hard drive, CD-ROM drive and other types of SCSI block devices.
By default, ZuluSCSI direct/raw passthrough mode is enabled, which causes ZuluSCSI V1.2 to represent the entire SD card as a single SCSI device, with the device type and SCSI ID defined by a knob and a DIP switch.
If you move DIP switch #2 to the "OFF" position, ZuluSCSI V1.2 behaves identically to ZuluSCSI V1.1 and ZuluSCSI RP2040 and uses image-based files to represent hard drives/block devices.
- 8-bit single-ended SCSI 50-pin internal IDC connector
- Maximum read speeds with ZuluSCSI V1.2 can be up to 4.5 megabytes/second if the SCSI controller is fast enough.
- ZuluSCSI uses the same SCSI command processing code as SCSI2SD V6, compatibility with almost all devices that speak both SCSI-1 and SCSI-2 is extremely high. Emulates up to 7 SCSI devices simultaneously, including CD-ROM
- Supports both SCSI-1 and SCSI-2
- SCSI termination is controlled via DIP switches
- SCSI device type is set via rotary knob
- Hardware eject button and pin header
- Supports both synchronous and asynchronous SCSI transfer modes.
- Highly configurable with a text-based ini file, zuluscsi.ini
- External LED pin header for the connection of external LEDs.
- Designed to be powered via SCSI termination power when provided by the host
- Optional DB25 header for direct connection of an external SCSI connector, in addition to the 50-pin IDC connector with one end
- The dimensions of the four M3 mounting holes are identical to those on the bottom of any 2.5-inch hard drive, meaning you can use most commercially available 2.5-inch to 3.5-inch brackets/adapters to mount ZuluSCSI.
- Identical dimensions and mounting holes as SCSI2SD V5.1, V5.2 and V6, making it compatible with many existing SCSI2SD-specific mounting solutions
- 74LVTH125 SCSI bus transceiver
- Easy firmware upgrade; as simple as putting a file on the SD card.
- Digital manual
